Hey—ready for some good news?
Thanks to the tireless efforts of volunteers, survivors, gun sense champions in the legislature, and Governor Gavin Newsom, California just made history by enacting AB 1127—a first-of-its-kind law to stop DIY machine guns!
This is a huge victory for public safety, and it could not have happened without the tireless advocacy of volunteers like you. Sign up today to take action and help pass strong gun laws in your own community.
TAKE ACTION
Supporters like you sent nearly 135,000 messages and made 2,400 calls urging elected officials to stop DIY machine guns in California—and it worked. By taking action, your support and your voice can bring real change, which saves lives.
Under this new law, gun makers won't be able to sell pistols in California that are easy to convert into machine guns with a $20 piece of plastic called a Glock switch, forcing them to produce safer weapons. We're fixing a deadly problem that the gun industry has ignored for too long.
We've made history for our country, and we're calling on other states to follow our lead, stand up to the gun lobby, and stop DIY machine guns.
