With less than 3 weeks until the NYC mayoral election, the billionaires are doing exactly what they promised: dumping as much money as possible into defeating Zohran Mamdani.

Yesterday, Politico reported that pro-Trump billionaire Bill Ackman just donated $1 million to an anti-Mamdani super PAC.¹ And hedge-fund CEO Daniel Loeb pitched in another $100,000 on top of it.

This is how the upper echelons of political power operate, John. They know they can’t beat Zohran on the issues that matter to New Yorkers — like affordability and public transportation — so they resort to the only thing they have left: mountains and mountains of cash.

But we already defeated these billionaires — and Bill Ackman’s $500,000 donation — in the primary. And in 19 days, we have a chance to do it again.

We’ve been saying it all year, but it bears repeating: Andrew Cuomo and Donald Trump are birds of a feather.

They operate in the same elite circles, with the same donors, consultants, and pundits cheering them on.

And at a time when ICE is abducting American citizens off the streets, and Donald Trump is trying to prosecute political opponents — like NY Attorney General and WFP champion Tish James² — Andrew Cuomo is more focused on garnering support from pro-Trump donors than standing up to Trump himself.

Compare that to Zohran Mamdani, who earlier this week, held a rally alongside thousands of working class people, calling for a safer, more affordable New York City. And even used the opportunity to give Tish James a platform in the face of Trump’s attacks.³

That’s the kind of leadership New Yorkers deserve. And on November 4th, we have a chance to prove it for the world to see. But these final three weeks won’t be easy, and we need all the help we can get.
