Hey there,

I don’t talk about this part of my story very often.

I grew up wanting to be a Marine. And, like many young boys, I was fascinated by all things military. Every summer, my family would go to Virginia Beach and rent a cabin at the State Park.

I remember watching military jets flying overhead and being amazed the first time I saw a hovercraft. All of my grandparents served in the military or government during the Second World War, leaving a legacy of public service in my family’s roots.

That’s what led me to the Marines. Plus, they are just the coolest branch…

I wanted to serve something bigger than myself. Serving will teach you what that really means. And when I came back from Afghanistan, like many veterans, I was frustrated with how broken our politics had become — how too many of our leaders in Washington have abandoned what service really looks like.

Now, I’m running for Congress because I still believe in the values that shaped me: duty, honor, and taking care of one another. This campaign isn’t about power or ambition. It’s about responsibility. It’s about doing what’s right for the people who still believe in this country, even when it feels like Washington doesn’t believe in them.

If you believe in that kind of servant leadership, please consider contributing $10 or any amount that’s meaningful to you toward my campaign today.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thank you for believing that a better kind of politics is still possible.
