John, For decades, China has been one of America's biggest buyers of soybeans. That market has supported farmers across Delaware and helped sustain our rural communities for generations. But Donald Trump's trade war changed everything. Because of his unnecessary tariffs, China has now boycotted American soybean farmers altogether. The result will be billions of dollars in losses that will devastate local economies around our country that depend on agriculture. Trump says he wants to help farmers by offering a $10 billion bailout, but handing out cash doesn't fix the damage he caused. What farmers really need are stable markets and fair trade policies, not political stunts that leave them guessing about the future of their livelihoods. Trade wars don't just hurt farmers. They send shockwaves through every corner of the economy. When tariffs go up, prices rise everywhere. Groceries cost more. Cars become more expensive. Manufacturers struggle to buy parts. Steel and aluminum are harder to get. And when equipment costs skyrocket, farmers' profit margins shrink even further. The domino effect of Trump's economic policies is hitting working Americans first and hardest. Meanwhile, Trump isn't working to fix the problem. He isn't addressing the shutdown or repairing the relationships his administration has damaged around the world. Instead, he's potentially sending a $40 billion bailout package to Argentina, while American farmers are watching their incomes vanish. Trump is sending taxpayer money overseas to bail out foreign investors. No matter what he claims, Donald Trump's priorities have always been clear. He stands with the wealthy and well-connected, not with the people who actually keep this country running. Farmers, manufacturers, small business owners, and families are paying the price for his political games.
