[<[link removed] Policy Alliance>] John, Have you ever wondered what it would be like
to get mail attacking your faith or political views at your house? Or what it
would be like when your husband checks the mail the day it first starts
arriving? I can’t say that I really had either–even
though I’ve seen mail like this, and heard obscene voicemails, before. But
those were always at work–never at my home. And it hits differently there, where loved ones are. I never
thought I would find myself a target like this. I’m
not a public figure––most people have never heard my name. I’ve worked behind
the scenes at Family Policy Alliance for years because I know that the work we
do here is critical, but I’ve never been the “face” of the organization. But I
was wrong. Today, I’ve got a stack of this mail on my
desk. The gist of the messages is all the same: "You are on the political
right, and you are a Christian, so you are a BAD PERSON." Over and over and
over again. The threat may be veiled, but it is there. And I’m not the only one on my team–or even our alliance–to be
receiving them. Think
about how much worse it is for those who are taking a public stand for parental
rights, the life of the unborn, and religious freedom ––speaking out in state legislatures, in school board hearings, or even
in Congress. In
reality, it tells me that Truth is winning–and I know you stand right alongside
us for Truth, faith, and families. FPA has celebrated two Supreme Court
victories in recent months, and thanks to partnership and support from friends like you, I expect we’ll see many more victories in the months to
come––in the courts, in state legislatures, and even in D.C. John, your day job doesn’t
have to be in the political arena to make a difference in our country. [Your prayerful
financial support is what makes these victories possible <[link removed]>] . You are keeping our children safe online, thanks to the passage of Age
Verification laws. You are protecting
youth from the harmful effects of transgender medications and surgeries through
Help Not Harm legislation. You are
ensuring girls have a fair playing field in athletic programs across the
nation. And that’s just the beginning. We have even
more to accomplish in the months ahead, but we need to raise $30,000 by this
Friday to keep the pressure on for this critical work. [Will you consider making a gift of $50 today <[link removed]>] ? Standing for Truth,
Sonja Swiatkiewicz Chief of Staff
P.S. The stack of mail
on my desk tells me one thing—we’re on the right track. [Will you help keep the victories rolling in
by chipping in $50, $100, or even $250 today? <[link removed]>] [DONATE <[link removed]>]
