John, it’s Anderson Clayton, Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party. I need to be direct.

Next week, Republicans here are going to try to ram through a congressional map that is even more rigged in their favor than the one we have now. It’s a brazen power grab designed to consolidate even further Donald Trump’s already almost unchecked power.

You can bet that we’ll do everything we can to stop them, but I have to be honest. The most powerful thing we can do right now is show them that the people are not on board with their corrupt scheme.

To do that, we’re putting together a massive rally and march to the General Assembly in Raleigh this coming Tuesday. We need to make sure they see that Trump or no Trump, there will be a political price to pay for cheating.

John, North Carolina is a big state and we don’t have much time, which is why I am writing.
