Fellow Republicans,
Democrats have once again put Americans at risk by voting to shut down the government, all while attacking President Donald J. Trump for ensuring families are fed and our troops are paid during their shutdown.
They voted repeatedly to block pay for service members and deny benefits to hardworking families, holding the government hostage. Now, they’re even considering legal action to stop the President from protecting military paychecks.
Across America, families are struggling — cutting back on meals, small businesses losing customers, and workers missing paychecks. Food banks are overwhelmed, and millions who rely on SNAP and WIC face uncertainty. Each week this shutdown drags on costs the nation $15 billion in lost growth and thousands of jobs.
Yet in the face of crisis, President Trump leads with strength. He has directed the Secretary of War to use all available funds to ensure our troops were paid — standing firm for America’s families while Democrats played politics.
That same leadership has brought peace abroad. After 738 long days, the world witnessed true statesmanship as Israeli hostages were released and peace began to take hold in the Middle East. Under President Trump’s leadership, Israel and Hamas signed the first phase of his historic Peace Plan — a breakthrough embraced by world leaders from Qatar and Saudi Arabia to India, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
Even Democrats gave credit where it was due. Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary Antony Blinken, Hillary Clinton, Debbie Dingell, and Senator John Fetterman all praised President Trump’s accomplishment. Dingell said it best: “I’ll thank him — the hostages are home.”
Across the world, people are saying what Americans already know — President Donald J. Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Even laureate Maria Corina Machado has dedicated her prize to him for his relentless pursuit of peace.
Once again, President Trump has done what no one else could.
He ended a war. He united divided nations. He proved that peace is possible when America is strong.
This is what leadership looks like. This is what victory feels like. This is President Donald J. Trump — the President of Peace.
