Fellow Conservative,

Thank you for being a #ProudAmerican!

With your patriotism and love of country, you created a wave of American pride at a time when our nation needs it most.

Using the most conservative estimates, you reached more than 40 million people with the #ProudAmerican hashtag.

But more important than the numbers, are the stories you shared about this country, our shared values, and the sacrifices of those who gave so much in service to America. Your stories grabbed the attention of congressmen, senators, and even those in the media who joined in and shared their #ProudAmerican stories.

Fox & Friends even had Lee Greenwood join the program and sing his famous song, God Bless the USA (“I’m Proud to be an American”), all while asking people to share with the #ProudAmerican hashtag.

None of this would have been possible without you!

However, as you know, being a #ProudAmerican is more than something we do on the 4th of July—it’s a year-round endeavor. And in 2020, now more than ever, our country needs strong men and women who are willing to defend the gift of liberty for generations to come.

On the grassroots level, we need bold conservatives who will defend America from the left’s incessant attacks. We must quell the violence, restore law and order, and support our nation’s police officers. Here’s how you can do that:

  1. Continue to be a #ProudAmerican. Share with your family, friends, and neighbors why you’re proud to be an American and why you love your country. Post your stories on social media using the hashtag #ProudAmerican so we can follow along!
  2. Write a Letter to the Editor of your local paper urging your mayor and local community leaders to take leadership on ending the riots and looting, restoring law and order, and supporting the police. Check out Heritage Action’s tip sheet for best letter to the editor practices!
  3. If you haven’t already, join the Heritage Action Sentinel Program. Too often lawmakers get elected and forget about the conservative principles their constituents elected them to uphold. Join the Heritage Action Sentinel program to stand up and hold your lawmakers accountable.

You can make a difference in this country. Along the way, know that Heritage Action is here to support you.

Thank you,
