Support Tempe's microburst victims and fight for an affordable city with Bobby Nichols.
Support Tempe residents impacted Monday's Microburst.
Last weekend, a powerful microburst storm tore through Tempe, uprooting trees and damaging dozens of homes and businesses in its path.
Over 130 people were temporarily displaced and over 20,000 people were temporarily without power to their homes because of the storm.
Tempe has declared a state of emergency in response to the sudden destruction, and city teams are working around the clock to clear debris and provide services to those impacted by the storm.
Thanks to generous donations from Tempe residents and local businesses Brick Road Coffee and Steve's Espresso, our team was able to provide fresh pastries and warm drinks to displaced residents and emergency response workers, but Tempe still needs our help.
To support Tempe residents, I encourage everyone to support Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA) by contributing food and hygiene items to their ongoing efforts. TCAA has partnered with the city of Tempe and Maricopa County as a designation donation site. Because of the increased need at this time, TCAA has expanded their drop-off hours:

Thanks to the support of over 100 individual donors and 40 individual volunteers, our campaign for Tempe City Council is stronger than ever.
We have collected over 1,250 signatures and raised over $9,500. That puts us on track to reach our campaign goals and elect Tempe's first democratic socialist city council member!
This weekend, AZ State Senator Lauren Kuby attended our canvass (despite the rain), and encouraged volunteers by saying, "[Bobby's] voice is desperately needed on the council..." and, "you have the strongest ground force of all the candidates. If this continues, he is going to win this race in March!"

If you want to join the campaign for a Tempe that everyone can afford, please volunteer to canvass Tempe voters at 8:00am this Saturday (10/18) in Cole Park and at 9:00am this Sunday (10/19) outside of Brick Road Coffee. The links to sign up are below.
If you want to support the campaign but cannot attend an in-person canvass, we have other ways to pitch in!
Please make a donation at the link below or send an email to [email protected] with your name, city of residence, and availability to participate in our effort.
