It’s time to lock in.

Trump and his posse of voter suppression devotees are working overtime to make voter registration harder for all Americans.

There are hundreds of thousands of comments on Stephen Miller’s petition to require Americans to show a passport or other citizenship document when registering to vote. The problem? Most of those comments support this change.

If Miller is successful, millions of Americans are at risk of being denied the right to vote, like:

The newlywed who took her partner’s last name but only has a birth certificate with her maiden name
The 70-year-old small town pharmacist who doesn’t have a passport and doesn’t know where his birth certificate is
The college student away from home whose parents have their kid’s documents…somewhere.

Let’s call this what it is: another backdoor voter suppression scheme to help Trump and Republicans avoid accountability at the ballot box. Comments are due by October 20th. In a few clicks, submit your comment against this petition.
