When most people think about renewable energy, they probably think about wind and solar power. But at AGREE, there's another extremely important renewable technology we focus on too: Thermal Energy Networks.
Thermal Energy Networks (TENs) are the next big step to affordably, quickly, and efficiently eliminate fossil fuels from whole communities and neighborhoods at once. By using a shared network of water-filled pipes that transfer heat in and out of buildings, these neighborhood-scale systems allow buildings to exchange heat with a number of energy sources, such as lakes and rivers, energy-intensive buildings, wastewater systems, or the stable temperature of the earth.
And right now, we have a chance to build six of them across New York State... with your help.
