John,

Forty years after legalizing abortion, Spain has moved to make it a constitutional right, following what France did last year, the only country to do so thus far. [1]

This is a great step forward for reproductive freedom, a freedom Reproaction fights for every day. Join us with a donation now.

As you know, abortion is facing greater, more aggressive, and overbearing laws across the globe, but especially in the United States. We need to look towards how other countries fight for and win reproductive rights not just now but for future generations.

Want to help? A donation funds our work towards bold, cutting-edge actions to advance reproductive justice everywhere.

The government of Spain also seeks to tweak abortion laws to prevent women wishing to end their pregnancies from receiving false information meant to coerce them into not having abortions. Medical authorities would only be able to provide abortion-related information based in scientific evidence and standards set by organizations like the World Health Organization. [1]

This is what we need to fight for; keep the pressure on. Give now.

Sincerely,

Shireen Shakouri
Executive VP and Chief of Staff, Reproaction

P.S. There’s much work to be done, even in abortion-progressive countries. We’re ready to do it here at home. Donate today.
