So here’s what happened: Donald Trump fired the U.S. attorney who refused to bring baseless charges against me and then replaced them with someone who is blindly loyal to him – not the rule of law.

But, friend, this is not just about me. It’s about the dangerous precedent being set for our justice system – where any president can install their own prosecutor to punish their political rivals. 

That’s not democracy. That’s authoritarianism.

The truth is simple: My office is doing its job. We’ve followed the facts, the evidence, and the law – and judges have upheld our case that not only has Donald Trump and his company committed fraud, but many of his administration’s heinous executive orders have been unconstitutional.

So now, instead of facing accountability, he’s trying to rewrite the rules and discredit me for holding him accountable. But I refuse to back down.
