Folks,

You’ve probably seen my name in your inbox quite a bit lately – and I know I’ve asked for your support just as often.

That’s why today, I want to take a moment to reintroduce myself, so you can know more about the senator behind the computer asking for contributions to his reelection campaign. [link removed]

I was the very first in my family to graduate college – and I only did so thanks to student loans and a few side jobs. To this day, I’m still incredibly grateful to the public schools that I attended that put me on this path.

This path hasn’t always been easy.

After college, I decided to pursue business … where my first two ventures failed. But the remarkable thing about this country is I got a third try. Thankfully, the third one stuck. I’m proud to have founded what became one of Virginia’s leading tech companies.

What got me into politics in the first place was the notion that every American ought to have the same fair shot that I had.

So, I entered the world of public service. I ran for governor of Virginia – and won.

I left office with Virginia ranked the best state for business, the best managed state, and the best state to get a public education. But I knew that this was not the end of our work to give every Virginian a fair shot at success.

So I ran for the United States Senate, and won. Since then, I helped spearhead the largest infrastructure and public lands investments in half a century, expanded Virginia’s domestic manufacturing, and fought (and continue to fight) to lower health care costs.

Virginia is the place I’ve called home. It’s where I built my business and raised my family – and it’s where I want every person to have the same fair shot that I did.

But the reality is, right now in Washington, we’ve got a president who is more focused on making himself and his family richer than getting things done for the Americans who elected him to office.

And – even more appalling to me – we’ve seen Republicans in Congress bend the knee to his every demand, no matter the cost to their constituents.

The path to taking back our country starts right here in the Commonwealth, where in just 19 days, we’ll have the chance to flip the governor’s office from red to blue. Then next year, we’ll have the chance to hand Republicans another sweeping defeat, when this Senate seat – and with it, Senate control – is on the ballot.

It’s all on the line – right here in Virginia.

So I’m asking: can I count on you to pitch in before our mid-month fundraising deadline at midnight so Democrats can win up and down the ballot in Virginia and we can keep up our work to deliver for Virginia’s communities? [link removed]

The fight continues,

Mark Warner

Before you go:

Mark Warner is leading the fight to hold the Trump administration accountable – but that could make his race a top Republican target next year.

We need to be prepared for his toughest and most expensive reelection campaign yet.

Will you consider a contribution today as an early investment in the campaign infrastructure we're building? Your donation today will have a much bigger impact than a donation of the same size a year from now. [link removed]
