Hi John,

Autumn has officially begun! Which is great if you like watching the leaves fall from trees and figuring out whether to turn the central heating on. It's less great if you're a fan of ice cream or the warmth of the summer sun.

Last month saw the announcement of some game-changing new research and this month we've got more exciting news to share with you.

From the research lab to London, we recently saw over 2,000 people turn up to our flagship Wellness Walk in the capital. It was a phenomenal day, which has so far raised a staggering Β£300,000. And of course, let's not forget our 12,000 stepping superstars, who are on track to raise over Β£1 million for our annual One Million Step Challenge!

Now our attention shifts to one of the most important days in our calendar... World Diabetes Day, which takes place on Friday, 14 November. This year, we'll be focusing on stigma. Because blame and judgement stop people getting the support they deserve – and that's not ok.

So, until next month, we wish you a happy, healthy Halloween, a brilliant Bonfire Night and a nice and cosy start to November!

P.S. We hope you're feeling proud of us. We managed to get through our entire October newsletter without mentioning Christmas once. Oh, that reminds us β€” don't forget to buy your Christmas cards.
