Join ALIGN for the 2025 Movement Builder Awards, an inspiring evening celebrating the people and organizations building a more sustainable economy and environment across New York.

ALIGN’s work to advance racial, economic, and climate justice depends on bold leaders and partners that make lasting change possible. From the Warehouse Worker Injury Reduction Program and SUNY decarbonization to Green Healthy Schools and the fight for a $30 minimum wage in New York City, together, we are shaping a stronger and more equitable New York.
Each year, the Movement Builders Awards recognize the champions who help make this vision real—leaders whose commitment and collaboration strengthen our shared movement. This year, we are proud to honor:
|
As a progressive Democrat and tireless advocate for working people, Carmen De La Rosa has fought for criminal justice reform, workers’ rights, truly affordable housing and protections for tenants, climate justice, taxing the wealthy, LGBTIA rights, and many other consequential social justice policies. As Labor Chair, Carmen has championed gender and immigrant rights in the workplace, led efforts to raise wages and improve conditions for NYC’s workers, and defended our landmark climate laws to protect New York’s future.
|
Worker’s Justice Project is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit dedicated to building collective power and economic justice for New York City’s low-wage, immigrant workers. Through pioneering organizing campaigns—including Los Deliveristas Unidos, Construction Workers United, and Liberty Cleaners—WJP empowers immigrants in some of NYC's most essential but exploitative industries to defend their rights, improve workplace conditions, and shape policies that promote safety and dignity on the job.
Join us to celebrate the strength of our movement and the people leading the fight for a fairer, greener New York.
