Earlier this week, we introduced Penny, a puppy who was found in a zipped bag by the NYPD and given a second chance thanks to our expert staff and community of people like you, who deeply care about animals in need.

We also announced our creation of The Penny Fund in honor of this brave dog’s resiliency — and today, we’re asking for your help.

While in our care, Penny was treated for two painful skin conditions and a severely compromised immune system. Following her treatments, Penny was transferred to Good Life Dog Rescue (GLDR), an ASPCA partner shelter, where she met Christine, a long-time foster caregiver.

After one weekend with Penny in her home, Christine knew it was the perfect match. She adopted Penny on April 3, just one month shy of Penny’s first birthday.

Countless animals nationwide need and deserve the care and treatment that Penny received, but the reality is… they are still waiting. And every day they’re left waiting hurts. That’s why we set an ambitious goal to raise $75,000 for The Penny Fund, to reach more animals like her as urgently as possible, and to give them the lifesaving care they need and the love they deserve.

Please donate today, and help make a difference for the next Penny, who needs you right now.
