To mark its 40th anniversary, Reporters Without Borders will take over the Gaîté Lyrique cultural centre in Paris on 15 November to celebrate our shared belief: we build tomorrow’s world by keeping ourselves informed.
From journalism in exile to coverage of the environmental crisis, from the impact of #MeToo to the challenges posed by media concentration, from committed photojournalists to war fixers, we’ll be bringing together diverse perspectives and giving the microphone to those shaping the future of journalism.
Together, we’ll celebrate journalism through films, debates, workshops, award ceremonies, exhibitions, meetings, music and performances.
This festival is our way of saying THANK YOU to all those who continue to inform the public, ask questions and tell stories. And above all, it’s to thank you — curious audiences, engaged citizens — without whom press freedom would be nothing but a word.
Reporters Without Borders — but never without you!
