Every October, during National Bullying Prevention Month, we stand together to build a world where everyone feels safe, valued, and included. 

Because for many people with intellectual disabilities (ID), that isn’t always the case.

For Andrea, those experiences were all too real. Growing up, she was often left out simply because she learned differently. But when she found Special Olympics, everything changed.

Andrea discovered a place where she could be herself, where teammates cheered for her, coaches encouraged her, and the joy of dance led her to a place where she belonged. 

Today, she shines on and off the dance floor, proving that inclusion doesn’t just change attitudes, it transforms lives.
