COVID-19 cases are continuing to spike across Texas, and people are starting to pay attention. However, immigrant detention centers are going widely unnoticed as the pandemic continues.
In one Texas detention center, immigrants have declared a hunger strike to protest the lack of protections from COVID-19. It’s simply unacceptable that Sen. Cornyn hasn’t done anything about these conditions.

Unfortunately, it’s not surprising. Sen. Cornyn’s campaign received thousands of dollars from private detention center corporate PACs, and it’s pretty clear that his loyalty lies with the corporate special interests funding his reelection.
