Announcing the Defending Our Neighbors Fund with United We Dream and partners.
Friend –
Like you, our team at the ACLU is sickened by the mass deportations, kidnappings, and ICE raids that are tearing apart families and communities across the country.
We fight for immigrants' rights every day, but this moment demands something more – something new – to protect our community and make sure that our families and neighbors have access to the legal representation and due process that is their right.
That's why the ACLU, United We Dream, and our partners are joining together to launch the Defending Our Neighbors Fund, a historic initiative housed at the Abundant Futures Fund (a fiscally sponsored project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors). Our aim is raising $30 million for organizations that directly represent immigrant families in court to protect their rights and keep families together. We've already raised more than $10 million and with your help we'll reach our goal. Will you join us as a founding donor today? <[link removed]> (Please note: This link will take you to a third-party website, defendingourneighbors.org.)

All donations to this fund will go to trusted organizations that provide direct legal aid to immigrant families in our communities.
The fact is, more than 2.5 million people faced immigration court alone without legal representation last year – something that makes an immense difference in whether a family is separated or can stay together. And knowing attacks on immigrants are at an all-time high, we must use every tool in our toolbox to defend our neighbors.
This is a community that believes deeply in protecting civil liberties. And no one should have to face this country's complex and punishing immigration system without legal representation.
Can you donate generously today to ensure that, at the most vulnerable moment in their lives, our friends and neighbors can exercise their right to legal representation? <[link removed]> (Please note: This link will take you to a third-party website, defendingourneighbors.org.)
Together, we can fight back and keep families together.
