John --

It's no secret that climate change is an urgent, existential threat to our environment, our communities, and the health and safety of future generations. If we're going to build a stronger Philadelphia block by block, then we need to make sure we address the climate crisis before it's too late.

Despite continued Republican inaction, Dwight is proud to be co-sponsoring the Growing Renewable Energy and Efficiency Now (GREEN) Act. This new bill will use the tax code to help expand renewable energy use and reduce harmful emissions by:

-- Building on successful tax incentives that already exist to encourage the use of new green energy and energy efficiency technologies;

-- Generating new tax incentives for activities what will reduce greenhouse gas emissions;

--Promoting widespread adoption of zero-emission cars, vans, and buses, and support the deployment of accessible electric vehicle charging stations;

-- Creating new, good-paying jobs in the green energy sector; and

-- Helping fund environmental justice research and education initiatives.

We cannot wait until the COVID-19 pandemic is over to begin addressing climate change. Trump and his anti-science enablers in Congress need to see that the people of this nation support our efforts to address this crisis. After all, there is no Planet B.

And to be clear: environmental justice is a racial justice issue. BIPOC communities are disproportionately impacted by our nation's lack of action on climate change. We owe it to our communities now -- and also the next generation -- to do better. So please, add your name next to Dwight's and become a grassroots co-sponsor of the GREEN Act today >> [link removed]
