John, it’s Katie. Thanks for opening this message. It means a lot.

I wish it didn't work this way, but running in a toss-up race like this one — where national Republicans will spend millions of dollars against me — means that I need to reach out and ask for donations more than I'd like to.

And I need to ask today, because at midnight, we’re facing our first fundraising deadline since officially launching this re-election campaign last week.

I know donating isn’t always an easy lift. Before I was Governor, I put myself through college and graduate school by working at Burger King and Pizza Hut. Even after I was elected to public office, I had a second job as an Uber driver to pay the bills.

So John, I'm especially humbled and inspired every time grassroots supporters like you chip in to help me deliver real results and tangible progress. It doesn’t go unnoticed.

If you can, will you consider chipping in $10 to my campaign before tonight’s mid-month deadline? We’ve got a long road ahead, and it’s going to take everyone to win this toss-up race and defend our values.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thank you, John.
