Dear Mr. xxxxxx,
Government Shutdown
Four weeks ago, I voted on and supported a continuing resolution to fund the federal government until the end of November.
As of now, the federal government is shut down because Senate Democrats have allowed funding to lapse by refusing to pass the continuing resolution. They continue to fight for demands that go against the priorities of taxpayers – including free healthcare for illegal aliens and to extend COVID-era subsidies that enrich insurance companies.
For as long as I am in Washington, I will fight for the values of my constituents and continue to put the taxpayer first.
Watch my interview with my Dagen McDowell on Fox Business discussing the government shutdown here or below. Additionally, you can watch my interview with Lisa Boothe here or below as well.
If you have any concerns or questions involving specific government agencies, including any potential lapses in payments, please feel free to reach out to my office for assistance.
Defending Western Civilization
America is facing an existential threat - the spread of Sharia Law. From Texas to every state in the union, instances of Sharia Law adherents have threatened the American way of life, seeking to replace our legal system and Constitution with an incompatible ideology that diminishes the rights of women, children, and individuals of different faiths.
Europe should be a wakeup call to America, showing what the spread of Sharia law looks like - the erosion of the West. America’s immigration system must be fortified to counter the importation of Sharia adherents – the preservation of our constitutional republic and its people depend on it.
Due to this attack on Western civilization, I introduced H.R. 5722, the Preserving a Sharia-Free America Act last week. This legislation would prevent foreign nationals who adhere to Sharia Law from entering or residing in the US.

Fighting for Texas Values and Protecting Children from Inappropriate Performances
Last week, it was reported that the Comal County Fairgrounds was hosting an all-ages drag show”. Thankfully, the event was cancelled.
However, considering this news, I sent a letter to the Comal County Fair Association urging the association to schedules future events that reflect the values of Texas families.
You can read the letter here.
Fentanyl Poisoning Awareness Month
Every October, the state of Texas recognizes the countless Texans who tragically lost their lives due to Fentanyl Poisoning.
Fentanyl — a deadly synthetic opioid — continues to plague communities across Texas. It is 50–100 times more potent than morphine — just 2 milligrams of fentanyl could be lethal, and just one pill can kill.
Together, we will save lives and protect Texans. Learn more at www.dps.texas.gov/onepillkills.
