Yesterday, Politico exposed thousands of messages from Young Republicans across the country – including some right here in New York.

These are the same people that Elise Stefanik worked closely with in the past.

She endorsed one of them to be the leader of the Young Republican National Federation and even called these Young Republicans “the backbone of our party,” all while they were sending messages that were racist, homophobic, antisemitic, and just plain awful.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Washington and politics-as-usual right now. These weren’t just college students. They were adults in their 20s and 30s working alongside people like Elise Stefanik and getting ready for positions of leadership. New Yorkers deserve better than this.
