Protecting people’s health care is worth the fight.

My husband Andy was diagnosed with terminal cancer one year into our
relationship, and I became his primary caregiver.

We were lucky that Andy had access to health care — but that experience
showed me how fragile access can be, and how devastating it is when people
don’t have it.

That’s why I’ll never back down from the fight to protect access to health
care — no matter how much Republicans try to cut it.

We must reopen the government and protect access to health care. This
fight is worth it, and I’m proud to be in it with you.
