It's all making sense now...

Hi John,

I've just published a new blog post:

First, Gavin Newsom came up with a corrupt scheme to blow up my district. Now, as Paul Harvey would say, we know the rest of the story. The chief proponent of Newsom’s COVID insanity, former State Senator Richard Pan, has announced he is running against me.

Pan is the author of SB 276 and SB 277. He also introduced a K-12 student COVID vaccine mandate that we defeated in 2022; it was too extreme even for the Supermajority. Needless to say, this raises the stakes in defeating Prop. 50 and winning reelection next year.

I’ve just posted 12 reasons to reject Prop. 50. I also went on Meet the Press, noting that Newsom says "gerrymandering is bad, so vote for more gerrymandering," while we say "gerrymandering is bad, so vote against gerrymandering." One of these positions is more logical than the other.

Meanwhile, our investigation of FireAid continues. Jim Jordan and I are now asking for documents as to how $500,000 given to a fund run by the Governor's Office was used. You can see all of the documents we’ve obtained so far at this link.

And as I’ve been setting the record straight that Newsom did give comprehensive Medicaid benefits to illegal immigrants, I’ve also had to point out the unbelievable hypocrisy of several other Newsom statements:

  • While he’s trolling President Trump for using private funds on a White House ballroom, Newsom is spending $1.2 billion tax dollars "renovating" the State Capitol.

  • While he criticizes Trump’s National Guard deployment, Newsom himself deployed the Guard to San Francisco two years ago, saying "we cannot let rampant crime continue." Of course, he did let rampant crime continue.

  • While he hysterically warns we’re on the verge of "martial law," there's only one politician in modern U.S. history who has actually threatened to declare martial law – Newsom himself, during COVID.

Amidst it all, one million ballots have now been cast in the Prop. 50 election. Please remember to return yours!
