Last night, hundreds of friends, members, and supporters came together at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers for the This Is Our New York 2025 Gala.
It was an unforgettable evening celebrating over 38 years of immigrant justice and advocacy. Together, we honored extraordinary leaders whose work embodies our mission and strengthens our movement:
NYC Council Speaker Adrienne E. Adams, the first Black Speaker of the New York City Council and a steadfast advocate for immigrant New Yorkers.
New York State United Teachers (NYSUT), for their unwavering partnership in ensuring immigrant students and families have the resources they need to succeed.
Caribbean Equality Project, for their tireless work empowering Caribbean LGBTQ+ and immigrant communities.
It has been a challenging year for our communities, but we continue to stand strong in this fight. As NYC Council Speaker Adrienne E. Adams reflected:
“We won’t be bullied. And we certainly won’t stay silent....We look out for each other. We protect each other. And we understand our struggles and our successes are intertwined. The way forward is to join together and fight for our city and our values.”
Because of your support, the NYIC can continue to build a stronger, more inclusive New York for all.
We are deeply grateful to every guest, sponsor, and partner who made this evening possible. Together, we showed the world: Say It Loud, Say It Clear—This is Our New York.
