Here’s the reality: Nationwide, an estimated 54% of gun owners fail to securely lock all firearms, leaving 4.6 million U.S. children in homes with at least one unlocked, loaded gun.

We refuse to let this stay the norm. It’s not okay that 75% of youth suicides in King County alone were used by an unsecure firearm. That’s why we will continue to fight for comprehensive safe storage practice in our communities across Washington.
