Each year, the Macomb County Board of Commissioners recognizes a veteran who has made a significant impact on Macomb County’s veteran community. Starting in 2019 with its namesake, veteran Pat Daniels, the Board has had the privilege of granting this award and bringing community awareness to the County’s veteran population each year.
The Board is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Pat Daniels Veteran of the Year Award and encourages residents to nominate a veteran who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and service within the veteran community in Macomb County.
"The Pat Daniels Veteran of the Year Award represents our deep appreciation for the continued service and leadership demonstrated by our veteran community," said Commissioner Joseph V. Romano, a veteran himself. "This award honors those whose community service has made a meaningful and lasting impact on Macomb County and its residents."
The deadline has been extended - nominations must be received by 12 noon on Tuesday, October 21.
