Hey John,
There are no sidelines left. The ruling class is doubling down: consolidating power, deepening extraction, and wielding targeted violence. So many communities are paying the price—Black, Indigenous, and other people of color; immigrants; poor and working-class people; women; queer and trans people—frontline communities who face the brunt of state violence and economic extraction. That’s why we must choose a side.
Resource Generation is a political home for young people with wealth or class privilege who refuse to let the ruling class steal more wealth and power in our name. For 30 years, RG has organized wealthy class traitors* to turn inherited or income-based wealth and privilege into collective power, following the leadership of working-class and BIPOC-led movements who have been doing this work for generations. We choose courage over comfort, connection over isolation, and solidarity over silence. If you’re here with us, you’re in the right place to find community, take action, and build power.
As Audre Lorde wrote:
“When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.”
Fear is the objective—years of increasing materially and culturally destabilizing actions from the right have gotten us to this point. But together, through organizing, we turn from fear into power.
As we enter our Fall Membership Drive [[link removed]] , we’re calling on progressive young people with wealth to step forward with us.

The Redistribution Pledge is our shared commitment to return private wealth and repair harm. Read our guidelines [[link removed]] , and take bold action. Collectively, let’s pledge another $100M to movements.
We are not the first to face moments like this: generations of organizers have carried visions of justice beyond extraction. RG has been part of that fabric for decades. This fall, we are called again to deepen our courage, to show up, and to resource those visions with everything we have.
In solidarity,
Amrit & Em
