As you may have heard, the newly-appointed USAID Religious Freedom advisor, Mr. Mark Kevin Lloyd, has had a history of Islamophobic comments. Emgage has supported a coalition letter calling for Lloyd's resignation, signed onto by many organizations. We sent this letter to USAID, the State Department, President Donald Trump, and Vice President Mike Pence.
We were especially pleased that Vice President Joe Biden, and several high-profile members of Congress, have supported our movement to call for Mr. Lloyd's resignation. Check out the exclusive we gave to Time to see what they've said.
We would now like to open this letter up to signatories from the general public. Please sign today to ensure that Mr. Mark Kevin Lloyd is removed from his position as USAID's Religious Freedom advisor, and for USAID to instead find an individual capable of upholding the religious freedom of people of all backgrounds and creeds.
