It’s flu season, and thanks to RFK Jr.’s leadership at HHS, there’s unnecessary confusion about vaccine recommendations. Let me cut through the noise and give you facts.

The vaccine advisory committee voted to stop recommending flu shots with thimerosal (a preservative). Here’s what they won't tell you – 96% of flu vaccines are already thimerosal-free anyway.

The bottom line: Your flu shot at Kroger, CVS, or your doctor’s office is still recommended. Still safe. Still the best way to protect yourself and your family.

What frustrates me is the mixed messaging. Public health guidance should be clear, consistent, and based on science, not political theater. Hardworking families shouldn’t have to decode government statements to figure out how to keep their kids healthy.
