2025 Cape May Field Trip Recap

Earlier this month, a group of intrepid birders hit the road and traveled from northern Virginia to Cape May, New Jersey.

Our own McKenzie Ingram took her first out-of-state birding trip with the group and experienced the magic of birding in Cape May along the Atlantic Flyway. A few highlights of the trip:

  • Over 40 species of birds observed
  • Finding fall migrants other than birds
  • A trip to Avalon Seawatch, where over 800k seabirds are counted every year
  • Experiencing the beauty of the Atlantic coast with fellow birders

Read McKenzie’s full writeup on our website - you might just find yourself heading to Cape May too!
