I’ll be frank, John.

I’m tired of hardline politicians who would rather spend their time infighting than figuring out how to help our state.

I’m tired of the extreme GOP legislators who want to take away North Carolinians’ rights.

There are too many of these politicians in Raleigh and Washington, they’re standing in the way of the brighter future all of us deserve, and it’s up to us to defeat them.

When I ran for Governor, I made a promise: that I would put my all into fighting for a North Carolina free of extremism, intolerance, and hate and full of freedom, hope, and opportunity.

I am proud of the work our administration has already done to advance that goal, but I know that it will always be a work in progress. We are facing a regressive, destructive agenda from the federal government, threatening our schools, health care systems, economy, and more — and legislative Republicans at the state level who can’t get their act together enough to fund Medicaid or pass a budget that values our public school teachers and other public servants.

John, they’re not in it for us. It’s long past time for change in the North Carolina General Assembly.
