** Relive an historic moment with the people who made it happen

------------------------------------------------------------

The canonical launch date of the NES is October 18th, 1985, meaning the system turns 40 years old this Saturday. To celebrate, the VGHF has pulled together a once-in-a-lifetime discussion panel with three people who were there to make it happen!

The panel is happening at 5pm at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo ([link removed]) . VGHF founder Frank Cifaldi will moderate a discussion with Lance Barr, who designed the look and feel of the system, Bruce Lowry, who convinced skeptical New York retailers to carry it, and Gail Tilden, who marketed it to players.

In addition we’ll have other surprises, including virtual appearances from others who couldn’t make it, never-before-seen photographs, and more.

The panel will not be streamed, but it will be recorded and eventually uploaded to YouTube. But if you’re able to make it in person, we highly encourage you to do so, as we’re not sure we could ever arrange a panel like this again!
