Friend, the Democrats in Congress are holding our government hostage.
Republican majorities in the House and Senate have come together to pass legislation that will continue to fund the government but the Democrats have chosen to filibuster in the Senate and prevent any spending bill from getting to President Trump’s desk!
We currently need 60 votes to end a Senate filibuster and NOT ONE Democrat is willing to budge and negotiate an end to this madness.
And the worst part is that they aren’t doing this for you. Democrats have not chosen to shut down our government to help veterans, support American families, or to protect our liberties - but rather to give healthcare benefits to illegal immigrants.
This shutdown is designed for Democrats to score political points with their woke liberal base and it proves yet again that they have no vision to improve the lives of the American people.
They have nothing else to run on and they believe that prioritizing handouts for those who have broken our laws over the needs of the very people they were elected to serve will help them win the next election.
The Democrats are the party of ILLEGALS FIRST and AMERICA LAST!
That’s why they have lost control of both Congress and the White House to the GOP and why in states where they still have power, like my home state of New York, they are facing historically low approval numbers.
Governor Kathy Hochul’s failed leadership is making New York unsafe and unaffordable while Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are doing everything in their power in Congress to prevent our government from putting Americans first.
I am ashamed of the damage that these New York Democrats are causing to the Empire State and our nation… And I am working tirelessly to FLIP NEW YORK RED.
