Trump and Republicans have once again thrown our country and Michigan into chaos.

Today marks day 15 of Trump’s Shut Down. Federal workers are in limbo, air traffic controllers are working without a paycheck, and food assistance for thousands of Michigan families is running out.

While Michiganders struggle to pay rent or put food on the table, Republicans like Mike Rogers, John James, Tom Barrett, and Bill Huizenga are standing by Trump and the shut down he asked for, protecting tax cuts for billionaires instead of protecting our health care.

This is the real cost of Republican “leadership.” Nearly half a million Michiganders are at risk of seeing their health care premiums double because of GOP-backed cuts, but Democrats are fighting back for the American people.

Democrats are ready to negotiate and fix this mess, but Trump is trying to rewrite history and pin his shut down on the “radical left.” We can’t let him fool Michigan voters, which is why we have to get the facts and truth out now.

But to do that, we need to hit our $8,000 mid-month fundraising goal today to stay on track and fuel our 83-county strategy to reach Michigan voters with the truth.
