We're reaching out to share our newly released Minnesota Policy Roadmap, a guide from the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions designed to support policymakers working to reduce gun violence and protect public health.

In Minnesota, the overall gun death rate increased by 35% from 2014 to 2023, with 525 lives lost in 2023. This roadmap outlines six core policy priorities grounded in the latest research that Minnesota lawmakers should consider to address this urgent crisis:

- Adopt a general secure storage requirement

- Strengthen the Firearm Purchaser Licensing process

- Strengthen public carry restrictions and regulations

- Improve domestic violence firearm removal and relinquishment

- Prohibit large-capacity magazines

- Create an Office of Gun Violence Prevention

Please, spread the word and share these resources widely with your networks.
