Look, team – it's been 15 days since Republicans shut down the government.

Not only did they refuse to negotiate with Democrats until the final hours, but they've refused to take accountability for what this is really about.

It's about families having to forgo child care for the month so they can afford a visit to the pediatrician.

It's about seniors on a fixed income whose premiums will skyrocket.

It's about the millions of Americans who are going to be unable to afford adequate healthcare if Republicans have their way.

I don't think it's too extreme to say we shouldn't live in a world where hardworking Americans are choosing between paying their energy bills and paying for life-saving healthcare.

Republicans are looking out for the interests of the 1 percent – but I'm concerned about Delaware and the rest of our country right now, team.

I won't waiver.

My message to Republicans: fund healthcare – completely – or you will not have my support.

If you're with me, I need to make a quick request. Will you chip in just $3 (or even $15) right now to help me and fellow Democrats take back the Senate? Republicans are running our democracy into the ground, and I refuse to stand by and watch.
