While we're at SCOTUS today, tell Congress to protect Black voters.

ACLU Supporter, I'm about to go to the Supreme Court today to fight for voting rights – and I need your help. <[link removed]>

We fought during the last redistricting cycle to protect the voting rights of Black voters in Louisiana. When the state legislature passed a map that packed and cracked voters into only one Black-majority district, we took them to court and won, forcing the legislature to draw a new map that fairly represents Black voters.

Now, Louisiana's new map – which added a second Black-majority district – is under attack at the Supreme Court. So today, we're heading there to defend fair maps.

Diluting Black voting power is unlawful discrimination, plain and simple. And while our lawyers fight in court today to protect voters, we hope you'll join us in bringing the same message to Congress – and urging them to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. <[link removed]>

Act Now <[link removed]>

This bill is a once-in-a-generation chance to achieve major progress for voting rights. It would restore the Voting Rights Act to its full power and expand its protections, putting a check on diluting minority voting power and other forms of voting discrimination.

But right now, it's sitting in Congress, waiting for a vote.

We're doing everything we can to protect voters. At the Supreme Court today, we'll argue that cracking and packing Black Louisianians into districts that diluted their voting strength is nothing more than outright voter suppression. We'll fight to protect this new map, which gives voters a meaningful say at the polls and allows us to elect officials that actually represent our communities. And while we do, we hope you'll help us take the fight to Congress as well.

For our democracy to work for all of us, it must include all of us. Call on Congress to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and protect our freedom to vote. <[link removed]>

Thanks for joining us in this fight,
