President Donald Trump’s border security and immigration policies led to
the most secure border since 1970, according to the Michael Banks, chief of
the Border Patrol.
Judicial Watch received 14 pages of records from U.S.
Customs and Border Protection in a FOIA request that show border agents
seized drones transporting methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl across the
U.S. southern and northern borders.
In
March the United States experienced the lowest southwest border crossings
in history thanks to new measures put in place by President Trump to
finally secure the famously porous Mexican border region.
The
Trump border measures came at a critical time for national security as well
as public safety. More than 1.7 million border crossers came from countries
that the Department of Homeland Security has determined pose a national
security threat to the United States.
