Hi there,

Paul Gosar, Eli Crane, and Andy Biggs just introduced federal legislation to strip protections from two Arizona national monuments so corporations can mine and drill on sacred tribal lands.

If you’re as outraged as we are, could you chip in $10 to help us flip more AZ Congressional Districts blue? [[link removed]]

Gosar, Crane, and Biggs’ proposed legislation targets Baaj Nwaavjo I'tah Kukveni-Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument in northern Arizona and Ironwood Forest National Monument in southern Arizona.

Their goal? Open these protected lands to uranium mining and extractive industries.

Gosar claims these monuments have "locked up thousands of acres" that should be available for "responsible mining" and "energy development." But here's what he's really saying: corporate profits matter more than sacred tribal lands, endangered species, and Arizona's precious water resources.

Fourteen tribal nations that have been stewards of the Grand Canyon region fought for these protections. Now AZ Republicans want to sell them out to the mining industry.

The Havasupai Tribe strongly opposes uranium mining on these lands. The monuments protect culturally significant sites, rare wildlife, and water resources that Arizona communities depend on.

And Arizona voters across the political spectrum support these monuments.

A recent poll found strong support for continued protection of Baaj Nwaavjo and tribal involvement in managing protected lands. Yet Gosar, Crane, and Biggs are pushing ahead anyway.

Will you chip in $10 to help us defeat these extremists and protect Arizona? [[link removed]]

The choice is clear: protect sacred lands and Arizona's environment, or let corporations mine and drill wherever they want.

We’re glad you’re on our side.
