John, can I tell you what
really frustrates me?
Every single time innocent lives are lost to gun violence, it seems like literally *everything* is blamed,
except lax gun laws.
The internet has been blamed.
School bullies have been blamed.
Violent video games have been blamed.
Movies and TV shows have been blamed.
The mental health epidemic has been blamed
But John, none of these things are uniquely American – yet mass shootings sadly are.
We’re the only country in the world that lives with constant mass shootings, and it’s because our leaders have refused to acknowledge that easy access to firearms is a big part of the problem.
That’s why we started Teachers Unify: To finally make our schools and communities safe. Because no one should ever have to go through what students, faculty, and I went through at Sandy Hook Elementary School back in 2012.
But to make real progress and end this epidemic, it’s going to take all of us standing together and fighting for change.
So please John, will you give $25 before midnight and fund our fight for safer schools and safer communities? >>
