Donald Trump and the MAGA movement have turned the machinery of government into a personal revenge tour. The Justice Department? Twisted to protect his friends and punish his critics. Lawful subpoenas? Ignored. Federal agencies? Stacked with people who treat “loyalty to Trump” like it’s in the Constitution—Spoiler Alert: it’s not.
Meanwhile, our First Amendment rights are under siege. The Federal Election Commission is being gutted, and Trump’s billionaire buddies are busy buying up media outlets like a pack of teens shopping for Labubus—firing journalists and replacing facts with Fox fan fiction.
Across the country, unmarked federal agents and the National Guard have been unleashed on Democratic cities. Americans are being detained without due process. You know, the kind of totalitarianism we used to condemn other countries for doing.
Donald Trump isn’t acting like the leader of the free world—he’s acting like a Bridezilla who thinks democracy is just another one of her bridesmaids. He wants to pick who’s on TV, who’s in jail, and what books your kids can read. If democracy had a wedding planner, they’d be sprinting for the exit.
