It’s clearer than ever, John: North Carolina’s Republican lawmakers feel no duty to our state or their constituents. Their only concern is securing the GOP hold on power at every possible level.
We just learned that the General Assembly plans to redraw North Carolina’s congressional maps — maps that have already been gerrymandered to give the GOP a lock on power — to OUST a Democratic representative from NC and grant their party another seat in Congress.
It’s clear that extreme Republicans will go to any lengths, including making dirty political deals, to keep control in Washington. They will silence the voices of voters here in North Carolina to get what they want.
We have to fight back, John. If Republicans are going to steal another congressional seat from Democrats, it’s even more important that we flip this U.S. Senate seat blue and end the GOP’s hold on Washington.
