Evening with Ceres 2025
Dear John,

Last week, we gathered in Boston to celebrate Evening with Ceres—and what a night it was! The energy, optimism, and commitment that filled the room reminded us why we do this work. It was a joy to see both familiar faces and new friends come together in celebration of climate leadership and bold action.

I'm honored to share some 🎥 highlights from the evening:

In this video tour, you’ll hear from:
  • Mixed media artist Adrienne Shishko, whose innovative work and passionate message that together we can solve the biggest challenges of our time set the tone for the evening, reminding us that community and innovation are at the heart of lasting climate progress.

  • John Palfrey, President, John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, with a powerful message that courage is contagious, and that standing firm in support of truth, freedom, and hope is one of the most radical acts of leadership today.

  • Yvonne Hao, Chief Operating Officer and General Partner, Flagship Pioneering and Katie Rae, CEO and Managing Partner, Engine Ventures, about how entrepreneurs and investors are driving bipartisan collaboration, clean tech innovation, and long-term sustainable investment. As they noted, Massachusetts’ history as revolutionaries and problem-solvers continues to shape our response to the existential challenge of climate change.

  • Ceres CEO and President, Mindy Lubber, who reminded us that “there is no better place to be than right here in Boston—the cradle of liberty and opportunity… We call on the private sector to be the cradle of courage.” If Boston taught America anything, it’s that the future belongs to those who refuse to back down.
Together, we are those leaders—and the results speak for themselves. I’m thrilled to share that we exceeded our $750,000 fundraising goal by more than $100,000! To all who sponsored the event, hosted a table, raised a paddle, or helped spread the word—thank you. Your generosity fuels the work ahead.

There is still much to do, and your partnership is essential and deeply valued. Thank you for standing with Ceres and for being on the right side of history.

Until next year—Save the Date for Evening with Ceres: October 26, 2026, in Boston!
With deep gratitude,
