Early voting is now underway in Georgia, and some of the most important — and overlooked — races on the ballot are for the Public Service Commission (PSC) !
Over the past several years, the all-Republican PSC has approved repeated utility rate hikes with little public scrutiny.
Georgians are now paying $43 more every month on average for electricity. That’s hundreds of dollars a year — straight out of your pocket — while the utility companies report record profits !
This is the result of policy choices made behind closed doors by commissioners who aren’t looking out for everyday Georgians.
That’s why Democrats Peter Hubbard and Dr. Alicia Johnson are stepping up. They’re ready to hold utility companies accountable, fight for lower power bills, and make sure families — not corporations — come first .
