As the shutdown continues, Diana is spending every day fighting for Coloradans.

She met with union members and federal workers to hear directly how this shutdown is hurting their families. Diana also stood with the rest of Colorado's congressional delegation on national TV to call out the GOP’s political games and demand a responsible plan that protects Americans’ health care and reopens the government.

The reality is that shutdowns are painful for everyone. Across Colorado — from small businesses on Colfax to family farms on the Western Slope — folks are feeling the pain of the GOP's reckless shutdown. At the same time, 11,600 federal workers in Colorado have been furloughed or are working without pay, and 52,000 military personnel are also going without pay. These are our neighbors, our friends, and our public servants, the same folks who simply want to do their jobs and support their families.

And this didn’t have to happen. Diana fought to prevent this shutdown and is ready to reopen the government — as long as the GOP stops using healthcare as a bargaining chip.
