TODAY: Tell SB City Council to Pass Rent Stablization

Hi John,

This is a last-minute notification, but our friends at the Santa Barbara Tenants Union have been pushing hard for rent stabilization in the City of Santa Barbara for months now. An initiative is going in front of the City Council today, and the landlords will be out in force to oppose it, so we really need everyone who is able to come out and speak in support. The council meeting will start at 2:00pm, with public comment starting around 3:00pm. If you can't make it to City Hall (735 Anacapa Street), you can join the meeting via Zoom here.

October 14: Call for public comment!
Rent Stabilization: Promotes neighborhood stability, safeguards residents from displacement, and maintains housing affordability through fair limits on rent increases and eviction protections.
The rent is too damn high!

If at all possible, please come out to tell the council that Santa Barbara needs rent stabilization and can't afford to delay.

In solidarity,

DSA-SB Executive Committee
